Dangote Refinery Dismisses Shutdown Claims, Assures Nigerians of Full Operations

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has refuted rumours that it has ceased operations, calling them as untrue and misleading. In a press statement issued on Monday, the business stated that refinery production is stable, continuous, and uninterrupted. According to the firm, the refinery's daily supply of between 40 and 50 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is expected to last through January and February, depending on market demand.

The refinery stated that on January 4, it produced 50 million litres of PMS and successfully evacuated 48 million litres, and that its current storage levels are enough to support more than 20 days of national petrol use.

According to management, routine maintenance on specific units has little effect on total output, emphasizing that PMS, diesel, and Jet A-1 production continues uninterrupted through fully working processing units.

Dangote Refinery further reiterated that its ex-gantry price of N699 per litre is available to all marketers and bulk consumers without discrimination, while asking stakeholders to support locally refined, high-quality petroleum products.
